Report: Concussion will keep D.J. Fluker out

D.J. Fluker AP

The Chargers kept hope alive that right tackle D.J. Fluker would be able to play on Sunday by listing him as questionable after he suffered a concussion in practice this week.

It doesn’t look like Fluker was able to get the necessary clearance, however, and Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports that Fluker will be inactive in Week Three against the Titans. Fluker did not practice on either Thursday or Friday as a result of the injury and will need to pass through the league’s concussion protocol before he’s allowed to resume playing.

Mike Harris will likely start in Fluker’s place. Harris started nine games at left tackle last season and played very poorly, but has experience playing on the right side from college. The Titans have seven sacks through the first two weeks of the season, so the change on the offensive line will likely lead to more of the quick-hitting passing game that we saw them employ against the Eagles last weekend.
