Ryan Tannehill took a huge step in his development as an NFL quarterback, and the Dolphins took one toward legitimacy.
The Dolphins came back for a 27-23 win over the Falcons, getting to 3-0 for the first time since 2002.
Tannehill capped a 13-play, 75-yard drive with a short pass to tight end Dion Sims for the game-winning touchdown, showing poise throughout after an early fumble and interception.
The win was also impressive for the Dolphins, who played most of the game without pass-urhser Cameron Wake (knee).
The Falcons now drop to 1-2, allowing the Saints to open up a two-game lead in the NFC South.
