Trent Richardson’s first carry for Colts is a touchdown

On the Colts’ first drive at San Francisco, Andrew Luck’s fine passing got the Colts deep into 49ers’ territory.

Then, new tailback Trent Richardson punctuated the possession in style, rushing for a one-yard touchdown to give the Colts a 7-0 lead.

The touchdown came on Richardson’s first carry for the Colts, who acquired him from Cleveland on Wednesday.

On the touchdown, the Colts’ offensive line opened a crease for Richardson, and he sprinted into the endzone.

Luck completed all five of his passes on the Colts’ first possession.

The Colts and 49ers are tied at seven in the latter stages of the first quarter.

    @thepftpoet …

I do so hate people telling football fans to settle down.

WOO-HOO!!! Good for you, Trent!!!! ROLL TIDE!!!

If you want settled, go to a Vulcan convention.

Gee, they used him at the goal line, funny Norv and Chud couldn’t figure that one out.

Wasn’t Luck’s first NFL pass for a TD too?

While it is nice to see Trent score for his new team, it remains that worse the Colts do, the better than first round pick is going to be.

I could have scored on that. Lets not crown him the next Adrian Peterson.

Cleveland just won. No one knows how to react.

    Good job, Trent.

    Good job, Brownies.

    Interesting.

The Browns win, which doesn’t fit your “The Browns are Purposely Dumping Players Trying to Lose” narrative, thus no post about the Browns rallying to win the game.

Richardson scores, which fits perfectly with your “Browns Trade Great Player To Tank Season” narrative, and you’ve got a post up about 5 minutes later.

Fair and balanced. Not your motto.

I heard the announcers on the game saying that the Colts coaches told them that Ahmad Bradshaw “runs angry”.

Hmm… I wonder why. He plays a major role in the Colts first TD drive, and as soon as the ball gets to the 1 yard line, they take him out and insert Richardson to steal the touchdown.

It’s the exact same thing that happened to him for most of his career in NY.

    No wonder he “runs angry”.

    UPDATE:

Post on Browns win finally shows up at 5:21. An hour after the game ends and a half hour after the post about Richardson’s TD was posted about 3o seconds after it happened.

    Enjoy his 3.5

    They DREAM of 3.5

Today it was 2.69 ypc for Trent.
    (5.0 for Bradshaw)

    Today they’ll say:
    “Aw, shucks, that ain’t bad…
    he just joined the team!”

    I think they got Norv’d…
    Richardson is still all “potential”…
at some point, you got to produce
    to stay in this league…

He had 11 1 to 3 yard TD runs last year with the Browns…….that 2.7 yards per carry today is not going to get him into Canton……by the way, Ahmad Bradshaw averaged 5.0 yards per carry today.

After seeing how much more effective Bradshaw was running the ball than Richardson, I wonder if the Colts would like to call a mulligan on that trade.
