Vikings off to good start against Browns

The winless Vikings are off to a fast start against fellow 0-2 club Cleveland.

Adrian Peterson’s two-yard touchdown run capped an 11-play, 80-yard drive to give Minnesota a 7-0 lead 5:47 into the game.

The VIkings were 3-of-3 on third downs on the drive. Quarterback Christian Ponder was sharp, completing 3-of-4 passes for 52 yards. Wideout Greg Jennings hauled in a 27-yard reception, holding on after taking a big hit. The Vikings also got a 20-yard reception from Jarius Wright.

The Browns are starting Brian Hoyer at quarterback in place of injured starter Brandon Weeden (thumb).
