Cameron Wake has sprained MCL, could miss time

The Dolphins were able to come back and beat the Falcons without pass-rusher Cameron Wake for most of the game.

And it appears they better get used to it.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Wake suffered a sprained MCL, and could miss some time because of it.

The Dolphins have a bye week coming in three weeks, so there’s a built-in window if they want to play it conservatively.

But that will make it that much tougher to compete with the Saints and Ravens if he’s sitting.

Sucks not having him for a few weeks. Good news is that Dion Jordan will get more playing time while Wake heals up to play against the AFC East opponents.

Pass rush has been slipping the last couple games (getting a little pressure but less sacks) and losing Wake (team’s best player) will hurt. There are guys that can step up (Vernon, Jordan, Shelby) on the edge. Getting Soliai back for Monday is crucial. With less pressure from the outside the inside rotation needs to be solid the whole game. (Especially against Brees, to force him to move off his spot)

Everybody will have to step it up in wake of that.

Too bad, but all the backups get paid so show up like the rookies did Sunday against Atlanta.
Come on guys, keep up the good playing.
