New York Jets running back Chris Ivory left Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a hamstring strain.

Ivory dealt with a hamstring strain in training camp that kept him out several weeks before being able to step onto the practice field for the first time.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the injury to Ivory is the same hamstring he struggled with in the preseason. Due to the time needed for Ivory to return from the initial injury, the Jets aren’t expecting Ivory to get back quickly from this injury.

With Mike Goodson suspended for another week still, the injury leaves the Jets somewhat short-handed at running back with only Bilal Powell and Alex Green on their active roster. Powell had the best game of his career against the Bills with 149 yards on 27 carries.
