Patrick Willis will get his groin looked at today, could have MRI

Willis

49ers linebacker Patrick Willis left Sunday’s loss to the Colts with a groin injury. The Niners now need to see if he’ll be ready to go in only three days.

Per a league source, Willis is sore. He’ll see a doctor today, and there’s a chance he’ll get an MRI.

It’s unclear whether Willis will be able to play on Thursday night at St. Louis.

Also injured is tight end Vernon Davis, who missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury.
