In a move that adds to their safety and special-teams coverage depth, the Ravens have been awarded former Bengals safety Jeromy Miles on waivers, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reported Monday.

A fourth-year pro, Miles was credited with 15 tackles on special teams and defense in 2012, according to statistics kept by the Bengals. He also had 15 special-teams stops in 2011.

The Bengals waived Miles on Saturday.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens also waived rookie safety Brynden Trawick on Monday in addition to bringing in Miles.

Well, at least his parents spelled Miles right.

So Trawick’s Ravens career comes to an end having made one tackle…of Jacoby Jones.

    Oops, Marvin’s strategy just backfired.

Seems to me they should be looking for an RB, what with banged up Pierce the only one available.

They’ll probably just bring back Anthony Allen. They only need a RB for a week, 2 weeks at most, anyway.

Actually, good chance Rice plays on Sunday. Pierce is probably healthy enough to back him up.

Instantly the ravens most talented d-back.

Says a fan of the same secondary that has gotten carved up by Jake Locker, Andy Dalton, and Jay Cutler.

but not record-breaking carved up like the ravens. not to mention the steelers are giving up almost 100/yds less per game. yikes.

Ravens haven’t allowed a TD since the Denver game. Also:

    Total Yards Allowed Per Game
    Steelers: 298
    Ravens: 344.3

    Total Points Allowed:
    Pitt: 76
    Ravens: 64

Those 6 rings can’t save your team now.

    Passing yards allowed per game:
    Ravens 269.7 (20th rank)
    Steelers 182.7 (3rd)
Steelers have given up a total of 2 passing TD’s – all year.

So much for your theory that the secondary’s getting carved up.

Can’t hear you from the top of the AFC North crown. You’ll have to speak a little louder.

I guess the most important stat of the game doesn’t matter to you then… points allowed vs points scored, or did you forget that’s gone the wrong way for your team the past three weeks? yikes.

I guess the Ravens wanted intel on the Bengals D.
