The Cardinals placed a pair of linebackers on injured reserve on Monday, ending their seasons and leaving themselves shorthanded on defense.
One way they could remedy that shortage is by signing a currently unemployed veteran and the Cardinals have met with a few of them. Veteran NFL reporter Howard Balzer reports that former Bills defensive end/outside linebacker Mark Anderson visited the team on Monday.
Anderson was cut by the Bills in July after a dismal 2012 season after signing with the team as a free agent. He did have 10 sacks with the Patriots in 2011, however, and would give the Cardinals a veteran option to use in place of Sam Acho and Lorenzo Alexander.
Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the team also hosted linebacker Vic So’oto and defensive end/linebacker Markus White. So’oto was cut by the Redskins this summer and played for the Packers and Raiders last year. White spent time with the Redskins and Buccaneers last season.
