With Asomugha uncertain, 49ers sign Morris

Nnamdi Asomugha AP

With a short week and injuries at the position, the 49ers made a move for cornerback depth.

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the 49ers promoted Darryl Morris to the active roster.

The undrafted rookie could become necessary if Nnamdi Asomugha’s knee keeps him from playing Thursday against the Rams.

They also signed pass-rusher De’Aundre Reed to the practice squad. They need bodies there with the rehab absence of Aldon Smith.

You could save us all some time and just list whatever regular Niner starters are still healthy.

They had pretty good luck with injuries the last couple of years. They are not having the same luck this year.

Cut the bum. He’s terrible. Let him cross the bay.

For Ninet fans: how has he played this year?

And Asomugha made the team even though Matt Maiocco said that there was a chance that he may have been an odd man out???

    *Niner

It’s refreshing to see the apparent bandwagon 49er fans talking so much trash about the Niners after 3 weeks.

We get it….the Niners look bad right now and we know it. That’s what being a die-hard fan is all about, through the thick and thin.

If you can’t handle the thin like the rest of us, then take your hate and go jump on the Seahawks or Broncos bandwagon while there’s still time….

Not to wish any player ill will or rub salt in the wound, but after listening to Harbaugh go on and on about the low class Seahawks and how his team would be above reproach, it’s hard not gloat.

I mean FIVE DUI’s??? It’s hard not to refer to this team now as the .149ers – which seems to be the average BAC among the players.

I remember when some people would describe him as being a shutdown corner capable of taking away an entire side of the field.
    Geez, hyperbole much?
I never thought he was that dominant even in his prime (solid, yes), and I live in the Bay Area & have seen him since his Cal days.

Asa Ram’s fan it very hard to predict how this game on Thurs turns out. Both teams are really struggling. One thing is for sure-this game won’t be influenced by David Akers.

I can’t believe we signed him for $60 million…boy were we wrong

So much for that off season arms race. If sopoaga was still there, he woulda stopped one of those colts tds. And giving away parys haralson for a 7rd pick is looking real dumb right now. Oh well, at least u guys still have that #1 selling jersey last year, but where was the faithful when Tim Rattay was playin?
