The Ravens got through a week without running back Ray Rice, but they’re apparently not going to have to push their luck.
Rice told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun he plans to practice today, and intends to play Sunday against the Bills, after missing last week’s game with a strained hip flexor.
Rice was injured late in the previous week’s game against the Browns, and backup Bernard Pierce ran often if not effectively (24 attempts for 65 yards) against the Texans last week.
“Ray is getting better,” Pierce said. “Hopefully, he’ll be out there with us Sunday.”
Having the pair of them will help the run game, but Rice’s ability as a receiver also takes some of the pressure off a pass offense that is still very much finding its way.
