Rodger Saffold won’t play on Thursday night

Rams Falcons Football AP

The Rams will be without left tackle Rodger Saffold again on Thursday night against the 49ers.

Saffold has been ruled out as he continues to battle a knee sprain suffered in the team’s Week Two game against the Falcons. He has yet to return to practice, but will have 10 days to see if he can heal up enough for the team’s Week Five date with the Jaguars.

Joe Barksdale will remain as the starter in Saffold’s absence.

The Rams also ruled out defensive end William Hayes with a knee injury. Wide receiver Chris Givens, linebacker James Laurinaitis, tight end Mike McNeill, guard Chris Williams, safety T.J. McDonald, running back Daryl RIchardson and tackle Jake Long are all listed as probable.
