Manti Te’o expected to make debut this week against Dallas

San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o returned to practice last week for the first time since suffering a foot injury in the team’s preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Aug. 8.

Te’o was held out and didn’t play against the Tennessee Titans last week, but the Chargers should see their second-round draft pick get on the field this week.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, Te’o is expected to make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Te’o has been a full participant in practice the last two days in practice for San Diego. He had been limited all last week before eventually being ruled as doubtful to play against the Titans. Now with a full week of practice under his belt, Te’o is ready to play.

Go Chargers! Manti Te’o is a piece of the puzzle for a team that desperately needs the D to step up:)

So far, he’s been invisible as a pro, like his girlfriend.

Poor Manti. Not a good way to make a debut against NFL’s hottest and most popular team. Thanks to the Cowboys, you Chargers fans get to watch the game because Dallas is allergic to Black Outs! WE Cowboy nation don’t allow it or get close even with our Superbowl drought which right there explains our loyalty. YOU ARE WELCOME FOR THE “SOLD OUT!” #blackouts?nahwecowboysdontseetoomanyofthose

Not starting immediately could be a good thing for him as he got to experience the game from the sidelines and take it all in.

I suspect he won’t be ready to play no matter how many weeks of practice the dude has. Wasted draft pick!

    Is he imagining this??

I would like to see him succeed in the NFL and become a great player. Hopefully he stays healthy. Him and Butler should make a good tandem down the middle of the D. Lord knows the Bolts defense needs a lot of help.

I dunno about play, but he will be out there.

Wouldn’t it be more appropriate for him to make his debut during their bye week?
