No practice Wednesday for Vincent Jackson or Mike Williams

Everyone in Tampa was talking about the Buccaneers’ decision to start Mike Glennon against the Cardinals this Sunday, which meant that there was a little less attention paid to the absence of the team’s top two wide receivers at practice.

Neither Vincent Jackson nor Mike Williams took part in Wednesday’s practice session. Williams is dealing with a hamstring issue while Jackson was forced out of last weekend’s loss to the Patriots with a rib injury.

Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Williams said he was feeling well and indicated that he expected to be in the lineup on Sunday. Jackson did not speak to reporters about his condition, however, and the fact that he wasn’t able to finish Week Three on the field definitely makes his condition a point of concern for the team over the rest of the week.

Should that concern manifest itself in Jackson’s absence against Arizona, Glennon will be making his NFL debut at a severe disadvantage.

Even if Jackson and Williams were 100% Mike Sullivan will still be calling plays. LOL!

Worst case scenario, Mike Glennon is targeting Kevin Ogletree and Eric Page all Sunday. Not a fantastic start and not how I pictured things when I bought my season tickets this summer.

Just gotta have faith somebody will show up during the year and perform.

Williams will be fine, not much news about VJ is a little concerning.
More importantly the WHOLE team needs to show up. Hopefully they “buy in” and get behind Glennon, otherwise this could get ugly (no pun intended Glennon, at least your GF is hot).

Ogletree and Page should not even be in the NFL.
