No practice Wednesday for Vincent Jackson or Mike Williams

Everyone in Tampa was talking about the Buccaneers’ decision to start Mike Glennon against the Cardinals this Sunday, which meant that there was a little less attention paid to the absence of the team’s top two wide receivers at practice.

Neither Vincent Jackson nor Mike Williams took part in Wednesday’s practice session. Williams is dealing with a hamstring issue while Jackson was forced out of last weekend’s loss to the Patriots with a rib injury.

Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Williams said he was feeling well and indicated that he expected to be in the lineup on Sunday. Jackson did not speak to reporters about his condition, however, and the fact that he wasn’t able to finish Week Three on the field definitely makes his condition a point of concern for the team over the rest of the week.

Should that concern manifest itself in Jackson’s absence against Arizona, Glennon will be making his NFL debut at a severe disadvantage.
