Santonio Holmes says he’s not 100 percent yet

Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was coy about his foot injury all offseason, keeping reporters guessing with his will-he-or-won’t-he act.

And now, even after putting a career-high 154 yards on the board against the Bills, Holmes said he’s still not 100 percent recovered from last year’s Lisfranc injury.

I still have a long way to go,” Holmes said, via Kevin Armstrong of the New York Daily News.

That’s a sobering thought, as he’s looked pretty solid so far, as he establishes a rapport with new quarterback Geno Smith and coordinator Marty Mornhinweg.

Both have created opportunities for him to get downfield, and he’s looked good with them, whether he thinks he’s well or not.
