Miles Austin out for Sunday’s game with Chargers

Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin’s hamstring injury might not be as bad as the ones from the last two years, but it is bad enough to keep him out of this Sunday’s matchup with the Chargers.

The Cowboys had an easy choice to make regarding Austin after he missed practice all three days this week. Austin will take the weekend to continue resting and healing in hopes of making his return to the lineup against the Broncos in Week Five.

Wide receiver Dwayne Harris is listed as questionable after practicing on Friday. Harris says his hip is feeling well enough for him to return to the lineup.

“Monday I couldn’t even move,” Harris said, via ESPNDallas.com. “It feels so much better. I’m not worried about it. I played the whole game Sunday with the same thing.”

Having Harris on hand should help the Cowboys attack one of the league’s leakiest pass defenses, but rookie Terrance Williams will also be in line for a bigger role with Austin out of the lineup.

Dez and Wit will do the job after Murray lubricates the weak Charger D-line.

Chargers ranked last in NFL in pass defense. It’s a good opportunity for someone to step up and get open.

they could grab a homeless off the streets and he’d still get at least 100 yards and a td against the terrible chargers

So jay ratt injury not a big deal. On short term IR. Spencer injury is minor now out for the year. Miles Austin hammy no big deal now out for the game. Hmmmmm maybe ratt is onto something with his claims of the medical staff not knowing what they are doing

When does this guy not have a hamstring strain??? I know, maybe if they rub some of Jerry’s “secret sauce” on it, it will finally resolve..
Either that or hire a strength and conditioning coach who knows what he is doing..

I’m so over Miles Austin. Dump this injury plagued guy and lets pick up somebody in FA or draft a WR with our first pick in the draft. No amount of talent is worth putting up with this crap every season.
