Report: Charles Tillman to play Sunday

Charles Tillman, Calvin Johnson AP

The Bears reportedly will have cornerback Charles Tillman for Sunday’s key NFC North matchup at Detroit.

According to Stacey Dales of NFL Network, Tillman, who’s listed as questionable on the injury report with knee and groin ailments, will play against the Lions.

On Friday, coach Marc Trestman said that he was “reasonably optimistic” Tillman would play, according to ChicagoBears.com.

Should he play, Tillman could very well find himself covering Calvin Johnson, whom racked up only eight catches and 106 yards in two games against Chicago a season ago.

The 32-year-old Tillman has 14 tackles and two interceptions this season. He has not missed a start since 2009. Tillman was a limited practice participant on Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday.

Another thread for Chicago fans to spew their delusion of Tillman shutting down Megatron by himself and neglect the two mention the 2 safeties sitting 20 yards off the ball the whole game.

Lions fans better hope Peanut has a bad day–if they lose to the Bears they will be one loss away from waiting until next year–do they really think they can end up with a better record than the Packers? With the Bears it’s a distinct possibility, but the Lions? N0t bloody likely.

Bears are 9-1 over past 10 games against Lions. Chalk this up as another win for Bears.

Lions have awful coach, less talent and take stupid penalties. Bears 27 Lions 14

Those guys aren’t nearly as bad as that Jaguar fan, Matthew Reid Hinson.

*WHO racked up only eight catches and 106 yards, not WHOM.

Don’t try to use fancy words if you don’t know how to use them.

  21. rockbottom37 says: Sep 28, 2013 6:27 PM

Matt forte was limping last week and could barely finish the game …what’s gonna happen when he is hit in the mouth for 60 min by Suh, Fairley and Ansah.

Didn’t Antonio Brown torched Tillman for 195 yards and 2 TDs? If Tillman is playing hurt then Calvin will have a solid game or Ryan Broles, Reggie Bush and Bell will have big games. Henry Melton is done for the year so the run defense will get exposed.

Funny what happens when there’s no Safety over the top help for Tillman.

It don’t matter who plays. If your on the field your 100%, if your not good enough to play at 100% you need to stay home. I feel every player has injuries and play hurt, but if your going to play it’s 100% or nothing. I am sick of excuse’s about injuries. You don’t get to use it as an excuse week 16 when you have to win or go home. Nobody will look back at a week four game and say if Tillman had been 100% that game we would have won. That is a bunch of crap then and it’s a bunch of crap now.

I hope Bear fans don’t use it as an excuse if they do lose. I sure wont be saying it’s because Burelson was hurt if the Lions lose.

Lets just strap them up and may the better team win.

I just hope both teams get out of it healthy so we can beat the Packers and Vikings LOL

They don’t call it the black and blue division for nothing…lol

  27. chi01town says: Sep 28, 2013 9:10 PM

Lions fans talking like that door mat team is somebody in this league. WRONG!! if it wasnt for the stupid coach.. that SCUMB BAG Suh
and his band of 40 drug addicts the media wouldnt even bring them up.
Its a clown show complete with cartoons. I tried not to dog the Lions but these fools wont shut up so its time to make them. NOBODY’S worried about the Lions. Suh is going home for 6 to 8 games real soon and he’s going to do it too him self. Chicago will cover the cartoon with Tilman and a safety and bang on Reggie’s knees a couple times and he will be out the game then its open season on Matthew

  28. dino2997 says: Sep 28, 2013 9:10 PM

The safety over the top talk is humorous. The Bears play a Cover 2 defense…duh. They do that almost every week against every opponent. Calvin Johnson gets owned by Tillman. Deal with it and quit making excuses.

  29. larryboodry says: Sep 28, 2013 9:39 PM

    @chi01town:

I’m a Bears fan like you, but not cool talking about hurting opposing players. Makes us look bad.
