Glazer: Pryor is out, Flynn is in

Getty Images

A slow morning suddenly has gotten more interesting.

In the wake of the report from Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle that quarterback Terrelle Pryor will start for the Raiders six days after a concussion, Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Pryor is out and Flynn is in.

Per Glazer, coach Dennis Allen told the team last night that Flynn is in.

Could Allen, whose desire to conceal the Week One was disrupted by a leak to Tafur that Pryor would start over Flynn, be engaged in a little next-level sleight of hand, deliberately engineering a pair of conflicting leaks to confound the Redskins?

All we know for sure at this point is that it will be Pryor or Flynn.  Unless Allen has gone next-next-level and it’s all a smokescreen aimed at concealing that the starter will be Matt McGloin.

I’m kidding.  Unless that’s what happens.

Theres only 1 Superhuman and his name is Robert Griffin. The RGIIIWannabe can sit and take notes as the Redskins win easy. #BurgundyandGoldStandard

Washington has a weak D against the pass. Flynn might just light it up coming off the bench, if we can keep him upright. It’s not the end of the world as we know it.

Do they really think the Redskins care which of these two Qbs is going to paste 300 yards on them today?

Somewhere in Oakland, there is a fantasy football owner with a very tough decision to make.

Looks like Flynn is going to have to ask if he can be excused from breakfast early today.

Flynn, if per chance you get a chance. This is not a great O line to be a drop back passer in. Better think of rolling out a lot instead of standing in one spot and waiting for the receivers to get open. If not, kiss what ever you thought you had of a career goodbye. No one will touch you.

He’s lucky to get this start against the skins D. His big chance to help his career.

Thanks for ruining my fantasy football plans Coach Allen.

Flynn can tear up that Washington secondary, just needs to move a little

If Flynn didn’t have chronic elbow soreness he could be a decent journeyman starter.

Flynn is weak bruh no way he stays in more than a quarter

Flynn’s noodle arm isn’t going to beat the Redskins… We are going to load the box, stop McFadden & blitz whenever possible & clog the middle… Make Flynn go outside & downfield… The Skins will get some picks. This is the game the Skins get right for a week.

Well I guess now we are going to make Flynn look like a HOF. No matter, the skins know they have to win this game and they know they have not played as well as they’re capable of (IMO they’re an 8-8 team with that horrible deffense). 31-24 skins. Alf is going to run the ball down their throats all game long. HTTR!

As a Redskins fan, Flynn scares me more than Pryor
