The Buccaneers defense held the Cardinals off the scoreboard in the first half, but their efforts to remain in front will be hampered by the loss of one of their starting safeties.

The team has announced that Mark Barron is done for the day with a hamstring injury. Barron and the rest of the Bucs held the Cardinals to just three first downs in the first half of the game, but things started to move in Arizona’s direction in the second half.

Arizona picked up six first downs on their first possession of the third quarter, including a pair on passes to Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald wasn’t targeted at all in the first half, but wound up with three catches for the Cards as the second half got underway.

But they still didn’t end up with any points as Carson Palmer was picked in the end zone by Bucs rookie corner Johnthan Banks to end the best Arizona drive of the day.
