Michael Bennett is fine, and he’ll travel home with the team

Bennett AP

Sunday’s scariest injury came in Houston, where Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett left on a stretcher after suffering an apparent head/neck injury.

Eventually, Bennett was evaluated for a lower back injury.  Per a league source, he was determined to be fine.

He’ll travel back to Seattle with his teammates.  And the flight will be happy for reasons other than Bennett’s health.

The Seahawks won in overtime on a 45-yard Steven Hauschka field goal, and they’re 4-0 for the first time in franchise history.

I am so happy for Bennett. Just as excited for him as I am about the way things went today. He is on a one year deal, playing his heart out and almost had a career ending injury. He has been a monster for us at DE and DT on passing downs.

All that Adderoll really helped the Seahawks focus during that second half…

Houston was a tough team today, essentially shutting down the ‘hawks through three quarters of play.

Oh wait…the ‘hawks CAN win on the road. Well, wouldja look at that…

You know what the end result of this is for the hawks? They won’t go undefeated, just like EVERY other NFL team this year. Buffalo beating Baltimore (at home) Detroit beating Chicago (at home) Tampa beating Arizona (at home) oh look, all home teams are winning except the jags, why? Because it’s hard to win on the road.

This is the first week after loosing an All pro center, pro bowl tackle Okung, and the opposite side tackle giacominni is out. Seattle is missing 3 starting lineman and 2 of them are all pro caliber. They can’t block anyone and they can’t sustain a drive.

I understand your frustration. The Seahawks toyed with your emotions. It looked like the Niners would gain 1 game back. Then they snatched that hope away. I understand. It’s okay to be upset.

Preach on, brutha! You know the haters are losing steam when all they can do is recycle the same adderall and “Cheat” Carroll jokes, and then do that in an article for an injury that could have resulted in paralysis

I was scared there for a second, I like Bennett. He’s a very good player, watching his dad in the stands was tough too. Just glad he’s okay.

Seahawks keep winning…Haters keep hatin. Perhaps ninerswilldominateneveragain can find a Steeler fan with an extra little yellow crying towel you can borrow and dry your little eyes with.

Glad Bennett is ok. I hate when the camera pans to the family member in the audience when the player is in distress (a la Jinky Pacquiao)
