Patriots creep ahead as receivers keep falling

The Patriots continue to falter in the red zone, but it keeps working out for them.

After a promising drive stalled, they settled for a 22-yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski, and a 13-10 lead over the Falcons in the third quarter.

Patriots rookie wideout Aaron Dobson was able to walk off the field under his own power after getting his neck popped back on a hard shot from Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud, but the incompletion on the play continued a trend for a team that entered the game with the league’s worst red zone offense.

The Patriots are down to the rookies and the special teamers in the passing game, but they’re 3-0 and winning on the road.

They also won’t have defensive tackle Vince Wilfork the rest of the night, as he was ruled out with a right ankle injury.

If you run the ball… you have to admit that it is the offensive line and the running backs.

That goes against the patriot and NFL marketing line.

It’s ironic but all these no contact rules actually encourage more passing. Passing plays, without question are more dangerous than running plays. In fact, I’d wager passing plays have 3x the rate of expected injuries than running plays.

If they win this game, I’ll be more impressed with tom Brady than Peyton manning. Brady has nothing, absolutely nothing to work with.

Mattie Ice…… Continues to show he is a second tier QB.

What with the Falcons? They usually wait until the playoffs to suck. Pretty soon they’ll be fighting the Bucs for the bottom of the NFC South. Couldn’t happen to a better group of arrogant underachievers. NO RING FOR YOU!

I WISH they were 3 0. Unfortunately they are 4-0.

Play to the strengths of your personnel, not to the “NFL marketing line”….

Example: 31 rushing attempts and 31 passing attempts last nite..

The team that everyone is trying to copy with the hurry up offense is now slowing it down because they don’t have the personnel to support hurry up…
