Ray Rice plans to play on Sunday

After missing Week Three with a strained left hip flexor, Ravens running back Ray Rice plans to give it a go on Sunday in Buffalo.

Albert Breer of NFL Network has reported that Rice will play, and that the issue relates more to pain management than structural damage.

We’ve heard it a bit less strongly than that, with Rice planning to play but not a 100 percent definite “go” just yet.

Whenever the term “pain management” creeps into the discussion, it could be viewed as a subtle (or otherwise) effort by the team to get the player to demonstrate his toughness.

Regardless, the non-contact injury looked to be both painful and debilitating two weeks ago.  If Rice plays, we’ll see how effective he can be — and whether there will be any aggravations.

Great, But, I wouldn’t risk him too much. Pierce can handle it for another week.

I think for the long term he should set out the next 2 games, why risk a set back, we know he is a tough player. Bill
