While it seemed nothing went wrong for the Colts on the field yesterday, something significant did.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters today that first-rounder Bjoern Werner would miss the next four to six weeks with a torn plantar fascia, calling it “bad news for Bjoern.”

Werner’s absence will force the Colts to rely heavily on trade acquisition Cam Johnson at outside linebacker behind Erik Walden and Robert Mathis.

The Colts also signed fullback Robert Hughes to their active roster, and released wide receiver Griff Whalen to make room.
