While the Titans continue to sort out the condition of their starting quarterback, they’re looking ahead for a new backup.
According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Titans will work out David Carr tomorrow.
The Titans were carrying just two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, although Rusty Smith was hanging around on the practice squad.
Carr, who made a seamless transition from No. 1 overall pick to journeyman backup, would provide more experience behind interim starter Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Titans made an aggressive financial decision to swap out Matt Hasselbeck for Fitzpatrick this offseason, so going with another seasoned reserve is consistent with their other moves.
