Report: Aaron Dobson has back, neck pain but not “major damage”

Aaron Dobson

While Patriots rookie wide receiver Aaron Dobson is dealing with back and neck pain from a hit to the head suffered Sunday at Atlanta, he has avoided “major damage,” Nick Underhill of MassLive.com reported Tuesday.

Dobson was injured in a collision with Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud in the third quarter of the Patriots’ victory against the Falcons.

According to MassLive.com, Dobson’s status for Sunday’s game at Cincinnati is to be determined. The Patriots’ first injury report of the week will be released on Wednesday.

A second-round pick from Marshall, Dobson has caught 11 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in three regular-season games for unbeaten New England.
