Brandon Marshall missing practices while resting foot

The good news for Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is that his hip doesn’t seem to be a problem.  The bad news is that his foot now is.

Marshall has missed both days of practice this week with a foot injury.

Coach Marc Trestman said Thursday that Marshall is merely resting the foot.  Which suggests that he’ll be able to play.

Regardless, Marshall has missed the two main days of practice in advance of a tough game against the 4-0 Saints.

Also out for the Bears on Thursday were cornerback Charles Tillman (groin/knee), linebacker D.J. Williams (illness), defensive tackle Stephen Paea (toe), and safety Anthony Walters (hamstring).

On Thursday, tight end Martellus Bennett (shoulder) and defensive end Julius Peppers (chest) both fully participated in practice after being limited on Wednesday.

They already have three wins this year, so 2-2 is only possible in your delusional mind.

You use more parenthesis than any journalist/lawyer/pundit/sports enthusiast ever. Probably combined, too.

Soon we’ll see the headline ;Marshall missing practices while restrained in a strait jacket”

  14. rextraordinaire says: Oct 3, 2013 7:44 PM

I misread the headline as “Brandon Marshall missing practice while resting feet” and pictured him sitting back, enjoying an Arnie Palmie while everyone beneath him were required to get ready for the game

Tough matchup this week for the Saints.
Unlikely that they will leave Chicago victorious.

The Bears can win this game. Now Brees will score but Chicago’s defense has to make it hard on him.
TAKE AWAYS!! are a must. and so is pressure on Brees.. he cannot be in the pocket relaxed AT ALL. On offense Cutler has to take care of the football. throw it away if he has too. the WR’s… dont drop the ball. and O-line keep Cutler Clean. 24-14 Bears!!

BM has proved time and time again, he doesn’t need practice he’s a pro veteran. He’ll be ready for Saints come Sunday.

The Bears have been exposed as pretenders. I expect the Saints will have their way with them on Sunday.
