Brandon Marshall missing practices while resting foot

BrandonMarshall

The good news for Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is that his hip doesn’t seem to be a problem. The bad news is that his foot now is.

Marshall has missed both days of practice this week with a foot injury.

Coach Marc Trestman said Thursday that Marshall is merely resting the foot. Which suggests that he’ll be able to play.

Regardless, Marshall has missed the two main days of practice in advance of a tough game against the 4-0 Saints.

Also out for the Bears on Thursday were cornerback Charles Tillman (groin/knee), linebacker D.J. Williams (illness), defensive tackle Stephen Paea (toe), and safety Anthony Walters (hamstring).

On Thursday, tight end Martellus Bennett (shoulder) and defensive end Julius Peppers (chest) both fully participated in practice after being limited on Wednesday.
