It’s the PFT Whiparound for October 3

NBCUniversal Logos

There was plenty of NFL news on Thursday.  The best place to get all of it is right here, at ProFootballTalk.com.

The next-best-place to get a lot of it was on NBCSN’s Pro Football Talk.  But since the show already has aired, and given that you lack the Krypton DNA that would allow you to fly repeatedly around the planet at a ridiculously high rate of speed in order to spin it backward a few hours, we’ve carved out the Whiparound segment for your entertainment and edification.

And, no, edification doesn’t mean “changing one’s name to Ed.”  Consider yourself edified on that specific point.

Ed.

Giants will get blown out by the Eagles on Sunday. Giants will make a late push in the game, however they will come up short (double digits). Btw, truth is, the giants have been a subpar team since Eli arrived. those 2super bowls they won were not just lucky (very very lucky), but they received tons of help from the nfl front office. Whether it was Mara deciding to take money away from Washington $ Dallas (I know that was after the SB, but really what a convenient advantage). The calls the giants got in all the games. The bogus trade for Eli (that was criminal). The extra home gm when the saints had Katrina (but when nj had sandy the nfl embraced the giants playing a home game even though the locals needed all the help they could get). The packers (Philbins) coaches son dying during prep week, Ginn missing the game (Williams 2 fumbles). The call on the Bradshaw fumble…man I’m getting tired…the bottom line is that the NYG were never ever really that good. They were handed those 2 Super Bowls…the league should certainly know better — and they do, but the giants got away with it bc they break bread w/Roger right over the river every day.

PS Roger n Mara used to work together n are good friends. It’s sad.

You don’t get lucky and win two super bowls, one of which where you beat NFL darling Brette Favre on the frozen tundra (and it was frozen, just ask Tom Coughlins face) and the undefeated Golden Boy Tom Brady two weeks later, and again in 2011.

Love him or hate him but Eli showed stones during both super bowl runs.
