Bills center Eric Wood says players on the Browns showed poor sportsmanship after Buffalo quarterback EJ Manuel left Thursday night’s game with a knee injury.

Wood said the hit that Browns safety Tashuan Gipson put on Manuel wasn’t dirty, but the way the Browns acted afterward was “classless.”

The hit was fine,” Wood told ESPN.com. “What ticked me off was the way [the Browns] acted afterwards. I hope our defense never acts that way when they injure an opposing quarterback. You have to show some class in that situation.”

Wood says Cleveland safety T.J. Ward yelled that the Browns were “going to get him” after Manuel went down. Ward denies that he said that.

Manuel is scheduled for an MRI today on his injured knee.
