For the third time in a little more than a month, the Patriots have released cornerback Marquice Cole.

Cole, whom the Patriots re-signed just on Tuesday, was let go on Friday, the club said. The club had also released him on Sept. 1 but brought him back the next day.

The Patriots now have two open roster spots in advance of Sunday’s game at Cincinnati.

The 29-year-old Cole played in the Patriots’ first three regular-season games, logging 34 snaps on special teams, according to NFL statistics. A Northwestern product, Cole has played in 57 NFL regular-season games, the last 17 of which have been with the Patriots.

Supposedly still having hamstring issues… Probably will be resigned again. What I want to know is Leon Washingtons thigh issue and him being inactive the past few games… 5 RBs but we might only have 2 active this Sunday, a healthy Blount and a banged-up Bolden

I can’t be the only one who wonders why they didn’t just release him to open a roster a spot rather than Zach Sudfeld. It’s obvious that nobody is interested in Marquice Cole, whereas Sudfeld is now a Jet…

    Looks like Gronk will play

Was surprised the last time this guy was cut and hadn’t realized they re-signed him.

Looks like he’s talking the Tiquan Underwood role with the team this year lol.

They are making room for another former Tampa Bay castoff by Schiano… Josh Freeman!

Is Marquise headed to Jax yet?

Not a Patriots Fan, but while this is cruel to employees, Belicheck’s had success churing the bottom of the roster on a weekly basis. He brings in other Team’s cast-offs and most don’t work out, but a few do and it cost nothing to try.

Welcome to New England Josh Freeman……

Why would this have anything to do with Gronk playing or not. This gives them two open roster spots. They need help on the defensive line. It was thin before Vince got injured. You can bet Bill is looking to pull more help in for that line. If he doesn’t find anybody,Cole could be back.

OK….3/2 thumbs down on my earlier comment, but not everyone is going to get that.

In the mean time, Marquice, making good use of his time, went to see his girlfriend……and…… He arrived at her house, knocked on the door, not havin’ no idea what the night had in store….

But back to my original question the first time Marquice was released…. “Whadda we get for ten dollars???”
