Snee needs surgery, could be headed to IR soon

With injuries mounting along the line, the Giants may be reaching the point of not being able to wait for some of them to get better.

As we mentioned earlier this week, Giants guard Chris Snee’s hip problem wasn’t responding to treatment, and surgery was a possibility.

It appears that’s getting closer to reality. According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Snee is expected to be placed on injured reserve soon, and have surgery shortly thereafter.

Snee had surgery on the other hip this offseason, and entering the final year of his contract in 2014, could be near the end of the line.
