Stevan Ridley misses third straight day of practice

New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley reacts after fumbling the ball resulting in a Buffalo Bills touchdown during the first half of their NFL football game in Orchard Park Reuters

We’re waiting to find out if the Patriots will have tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola on the field for Sunday’s game against the Bengals, but there’s a good chance they’ll be without a key offensive piece even if those two make it into the lineup.

NESN.com reports that running back Stevan Ridley missed practice for the third straight day on Friday because of a knee injury. He hasn’t been ruled out of anything at this point, but it’s rare for a player to miss an entire week of practice and then wind up playing on the weekend.

Brandon Bolden has also been listed on this week’s injury reports with a knee issue, although he’s been a limited participant and is therefore likelier to be in the lineup than Ridley. LeGarrette Blount will be in the lineup and figures to see a boost with the two backs ahead of him both ailing heading into the weekend.

Ridley’s picked up 174 yards and 47 carries though the first four weeks of the season.

Go ti it Blount. The more decimated the Pats offense is the more changeups Belichick will pull out to surprise Cleveland with.

Man, its getting to the point where it is easier to report who is healthy instead of who is injured.

@harrisonhits420 … so you think BB is actually more concerned with putting trickery on film in effort to confound his Dec 8 opponent than actually playing the team on the schedule in front of him?

Go ti it BLUNT, indeed …

I have a feeling Marvin Lewis doesn’t buy this injury report. He knows better. :D

Last week the Pats D held a pretty good O down pretty well. This week if the Pats can be productive against a very good defense and win this game, I will have hope they can win any kind of game like the Pats of old used to.

Blount looked good the other night. Lots of speed for a man his size and it appears that New England has found another guy who had issues elsewhere yet, turns into a solid player under BB.

Yeah yeah I typed fast and said Cleveland instead of Cincy. Such is life on the internet.

Besides, Harrisonhits, if these guys have ever been to cleveland and cinnci, they would understand your mistake.
There really is no difference. :)
