Texans getting well in time for 49ers game

Brian Cushing, Russell Wilson AP

The Texans are getting healthy just in time, as a pair of key contributors should be back for Sunday night’s game against the 49ers.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said linebacker Brian Cushing had been cleared after last week’s concussion, and “indicated” that left tackle Duane Brown should be ready to play Sunday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Cuhsing’s absence in the fourth quarter coincided with Houston’s collapse against the Seahawks last week.

Brown’s been out with a turf toe injury, and having his best pass-protector back should help quarterback Matt Schaub recover as well.

Football is boring when the Redskins have a bye week. #LookslikeIllbewatchingSoccerthisSunday

There will be no excuses for the loser.

Actually illogical voice the Redskins make football very boring as their defense doesn’t play and their QB hobbles around. It actually makes me feel quite bad for them and the fans.

Being a Redskins fan, I would have assumed you would be watching soccer every Sunday anyway.

Unless Schaub is hurt, I have a hard time putting much faith in the Texans

  8. logicalvoiceseys says: Oct 4, 2013 2:59 PM

But they still have Matt Schaub at QB…

I see the Texans winning this one, and dropping the bowl swirling 9er’s down another notch.

    And ‘dementedvoice’…
If you think what the Skins are doing is playing football…
Maybe you should be watching that girls kickball game they call soccer.

I hope the Texans play well and it is a good game. A blow out by SF may be in order, if not. My guess is that SF wins by 10.

The Texans get Brown and Cushing back but their best run blocking guard Brandon Brooks will be out. The 49ers will be ready to contain the run game as long as Patrick Willis is back. Bowman, Justin Smith , Dorsey and Ray Mcdonald can handle the run defense and back up Michael Whilhote will step in fine. No Aldon Smith? No worries, Ahmad Brooks, Lemonier, Skuta has been playing great. Whenever a player is injured like the 49ers have to deal with the past 4 weeks….its the next man up. The Texans have to try to steal a game at Candlestick Park…this will be a good game.

Not a fan of either team…. however based on past performance and the fact that both JJ Watt and Cushing will be playing (and playing pissed), they better have the local ER on standby for Kap.

    Texans take this one.

Can the Texans keep contain on Kap? They did a good job on Wilson until the 4th quarter. Not sure what to expect when Kap is in the pocket. He’s been erratic of late. Even though it’s a home game for the Niners I call it even at this point.

So J J Watt is suppose to put the fast mobile Kap in the ER lol…that was a poor attempt at a joke. Kap is built to take hits compared to Vick or RG3. JJ Watt chewed up on seahawks O line that has 3 missing starters. The 49ers have all their starting O lineman healthy and Anthony Davis will play this time.

All it takes is for one player to mess up the team. Ha Ha. A 4 pick 6 coming this week.!!! LMAO.

Both team have too much overall talent to be struggling for long and the winner of this matchup may well be on it’s way back to being a playoff contender.

This is the best game of the weekend. Kap is coming off a great game, Schaub is not. I am a Texan but I believe this game goes to the Niners,
