Jets rule out Santonio Holmes, but Stephen Hill cleared for return

New York Jets Hill catches a touchdown pass in the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills during their NFL football game in East Rutherford Reuters

Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (knee/hamstring) has been offically declared out of Monday’s game at Atlanta, per the club’s Saturday injury report.

Holmes has not practiced this week. He leads the Jets in receiving yards (243).

While Holmes will miss Week Five, the Jets could have wideout Stephen Hill (concussion) back in the lineup. Hill is probable for Monday’s game after putting a full practice on Saturday. According to the Jets, Hill was “cleared for contact” on Saturday. A second-year pro from Georgia Tech, Hill has caught 13 passes for 233 yards and a TD this season.

However, there’s a little less clarity with the status of tight end Kellen Winslow (knee), who is questionable after missing practice on Saturday. Winslow’s 16 catches are a team-high.

    This is gonna be ugly.

Remember what happened to Sanchez without Santonio Holmes.

Just look what Geno has done WITH Santonio Holmes.

Because Sanchez would force every ball to tone. Geno spreads the ball around to Winslow, Holmes, Kerley and hill who I might add is looking like an upcoming #1 receiver thanks to the one you’re trashing known as GENO SMITH.

” Geno spreads the ball out” like to the corner the safety the linebacker.

Everyone stop rushing Geno. I’m tired of hearing all the BS associated with Geno. Do you really want Sanchez? I don’t. What I want is a receiving group that is not injured or an Ego maniac. You know who I’m talking about. Let this play out , Geno is our future.
