Bears starting defensive tackle Nate Collins will miss the rest of Sunday’s game against New Orleans with a knee injury, the club’s official Twitter feed said.

Collins left the game after suffering the injury on the Saints’ first drive of the third quarter.

Collins has filled the lineup spot vacated by Henry Melton, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in September.

The 26-year-old Collins has spent the last two seasons with the Bears. A fourth-year pro from Virginia, Collins began his career with Jacksonville (2009-2010).
