Bills trying to sign Josh Freeman, Vikings, Raiders also interested

No team was interested in trading with the Buccaneers for acquiring quarterback Josh Freeman, but he’s now drawing interest in free agency.

The Bills are interested in signing Freeman and began intensifying their efforts to acquire him on Sunday night, according to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Buffalo would make a lot of sense as the destination for Freeman after the Bills lost starting quarterback EJ Manuel to an LCL sprain on Thursday night. The only other quarterback on the Bills’ roster is undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel, which means Freeman might be able to sign with the Bills on Monday and be ready to play on Sunday.

But the Bills aren’t the only team trying to acquire Freeman. The Vikings and Raiders are also interested, according to the report.

Freeman could make his choice as soon as tonight.

Schiano and crew are soo stupid they didn’t even wait a few more days to see if a market to trade him would have developed (IE 2 starting QBs getting injured on the day you cut him). Truly the Bucs are ran by mongoloids right now, and that starts with Schiano – the head idiot.

AFC East is ripe. It is anyone’s division. AFC south and NFC west, not so much.

Vikings aren’t going to sign him. If it’s not going to be Ponder, it will be Cassel and then draft a QB next year.

If I was him I go to the Vikings, the Bills will replace him once EJ is ready to go, and I dont think he beats out Pryor with the Raiders.

He will be a Raider, makes total sense. Manuel is the future for the Bills, but with the Raiders or the Vikings the job will be up for grabs.

    Welcome to the Raiders Josh.

Vikings just signed him to a one year deal! I guess we will see what happens. If he goes on to have a good career or even win a Super Bowl–a la Doug Williams and Steve Young then maybe Schiano was the problem all along. I actually think Schiano and Dominic have to go anyways–terrible way to waste this potential season.
