Colts take the lead with a pair of big plays

The Colts got themselves right back in the game with the Seahawks, and they did it in dramatic fashion.

After a flat start, the Colts now lead 14-12 after Delano Howell returned a blocked field goal 61 yards for a touchdown. Lawrence Guy got his hand on the ball, and Howell got a good bounce and was able to (mostly) outrun punter/holder Jon Ryan for the score.

They had previously got on the board when quarterback Andrew Luck played pitch-and-catch with T.Y. Hilton for a 73-yard touchdown.

The Seahawks had been playing aggressive defense throughout, but cornerback Richard Sherman let Hilton get a clean release, and safety Kam Chancellor skipped a chance to blast Hilton out of bounds. Hilton’s nifty stop-and-start move left Chancellor looking like Wile E. Coyote running off a cliff, and realizing gravity was about to kick in.
