Gabbert out with hamstring injury, Henne in

Blaine Gabbert AP

The Jacksonville Jaguars are so bad at this point that it may not matter who their quarterback is. But right now, it’s Chad Henne.

Blaine Gabbert started today’s game at St. Louis but left after suffering a hamstring injury. Henne came in to replace Gabbert and led the Jaguars to a field goal in the third quarter to cut the Jaguars’ deficit to 24-13.

For the Jaguars, a big priority for the rest of this season will be evaluating whether Gabbert has any future with the organization. So it would be nice for the Jaguars to see as much of Gabbert as they can. But at the moment, they’re not seeing any of him.

Gabbert is such a scared and fragile piece of garbage. I hope we never see him in a Jags uniform again.

All of Jacksonville’s 15 fans are cheering regardless of the score.

As a Jags fan I think we have seen enough of Gabbert, all reports he works hard, studies film, and he is big and athletic…he just doesn’t have “it.” Henne is not the answer either.

Play the young guys and let them get the experience, then draft Teddy Bridgerwater or whomever Caldwell and Brady feel is the franchise quarterback coming in the 2014 draft.

    Jeff Fisher,

Will you please run Richardson to the edge instead of up the middle where he does NOTHING. THANKS

    toolfan74,

Actually it was a remark of sarcasm. However I bet they hope Gabbert doesn’t return to the lineup nonetheless lol

The Jags have to do something about their quarterback situation. I get that they may be tanking for Bridgewater, but lets be honest, even if he turns out to be the football love child of Manning and Brady, the Jags would be lucky to go 8-8 next year. The more likely scenario is he gets ruined along the lines of a David Carr. So do something smart, get a capable veteran in for the remainder of this year and all of next year. Then you can evaluate what you have and need on your football team.

The biggest problem with Blaine Gabbert is that he can’t ever stay healthy enough to be “evaluated.” He’s gets injured more than Kolb. Just move on from him.
