Report: Titans inquired on JaMarcus Russell

The Titans, who lost quarterback Jake Locker to a hip injury in Week Four, recently inquired about former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday.

According to Schefter, Russell is currently recovering from a knee injury, but the quarterback was receptive to the opportunity. According to Schefter, this appears to be an indication that Russell does intend to continue his comeback.

The Titans promoted Rusty Smith from the practice squad this week to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick, who will start Sunday against Kansas City.

The 28-year-old Russell has not played in an NFL game since 2009.

How much does it suck for Josh Freeman to read this? A team is more interested in JaMarcus than you?

It’s not a knee injury, it’s a leg and thigh injury – he dropped his bucket of KFC and is heartbroken.

As dumb as he is I’m willing to be he earn (scratch that, made) more in his first contract that all of us combined will earn in our lives. That buys a lot of happy meals so eat up big man!

Fire everyone if this is true. I’d rather have Tebow & I think Tebow flat out sucks.

how dumb would that be. Titans don’t need to panic at this point and Russell would be a panic move.

I’d rather have my Titans lose every game until Locker comes back than waste a spot on this loser.
