Schaub’s latest pick leads to eventual six, 21-0 hole

The good news is, Matt Schaub’s latest interception was not returned for a touchdown.

Actually, there is no good news for the Texans.

Anthony Dixon scored a 2-yard touchdown to give the 49ers a 21-0 lead over the Texans, following cornerback Tramaine Brock’s second interception of the night.

Schaub, put simply, looks shell-shocked right now, and the Texans don’t appear capable of winning despite him at the moment. The 49ers are simply sitting back, waiting for him to make mistakes, and running efficiently. That’s enough.

This game is getting too painful to watch. Feel bad for Schaub & Texans. They’ ll be burning more than Schaub jerseys in Houston this coming. Kubiak is now firmly on the hot seat.

I don’t know if Schaub or Gore has been the best offensive weapon for the 49ers.

  3. evolution4652 says: Oct 6, 2013 9:39 PM

I can’t be the only one who thinks it makes sense for Houston to sign josh Freeman.

  4. thestrategyexpert says: Oct 6, 2013 9:39 PM

Yep no reason to consider Freeman.

I feel sry for Ed reed,He should have stayed home ,GO RAVENS GOOD WIN TODAY

So much for that players-only meeting.

  7. redandgoldhitman52 says: Oct 6, 2013 9:45 PM

last pick could have been another pick6 had brock not bobbled it at first

  8. selbyrj82 says: Oct 6, 2013 9:50 PM

But 2 weeks ago a bunch of Hawks fans told me the 9ers suck and that they were done, how are they winning?!

  9. imeanwhatisay says: Oct 6, 2013 9:54 PM

I can hear it in Texas now ,they’re chanting SCRUB,SCRUB,SCRUB

  10. trollhammer20 says: Oct 6, 2013 9:56 PM

Since leading 20-3 at halftime last week, the Texans have been outscored 41-0.

  11. texx95 says: Oct 6, 2013 9:59 PM

Freeman here would be a disaster. Both of the backups (Keenum and Yates) are better and better equipped to step in and play. Freeman comments reek of ignorance.

  12. conormacleod says: Oct 6, 2013 10:03 PM

And Schaub is playing in second half?

  13. jessejames182 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:09 PM

Schaub better hope fans are mad, most Texans fans I know (including myself) are laughing now. If they’re mad that means they still care, right now they don’t expect any better.

  14. pgilbert2013 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:15 PM

Chin up Schaub… Hated you last week throwing the pick six to Sherm, but you are vindicated.

    Throw on!

I don’t know if I missed the clarification regarding Freeman, or whether it was never given, however did he have an old prescription for Ritalin in his medicine cabinet that he mistakenly took instead of his current and DIFFERENT script for ADHD, or did he take the Ritalin WITHOUT a prescription? Personally I do not care, however, if I were a GM for a team considering signing him, I surely WOULD want to be clear regarding this question. Does anyone out there know the answer to this situation?

Bengals fans are getting less and less worried about having to play the Texans for a third time in January.

  17. nfl4days says: Oct 6, 2013 10:20 PM

    Pathetic.

  18. jeffesky says: Oct 6, 2013 10:25 PM

Ugly day for this QB and unfortunate that he has lost all confidence. Yates sbould go in now but Kubiak wont do it till next week. If he does.t he can kiss his biceps good bye.

  19. henryjones20 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:26 PM

last yr was their super bowl yr or best shot.gonna have to retool and think long and hard if schaub can lead them.

  20. adderal says: Oct 6, 2013 10:27 PM

Man I know kap liked Crabtree but he does not look confident
    With any reciever lately

  21. titansbro says: Oct 6, 2013 10:29 PM

Remember when Peyton Manning was supposedly interested in Houston but they weren’t interested in him? Me neither, but if true, everyone in that franchise should be fired & never allowed to work in football again.

    money changes everything…….

  23. brucealmty says: Oct 6, 2013 10:35 PM

Lots of Lone Star beer needed tonight in the Lone Star state to wash away the tears….Dallas goes down in a heartbreaker and Houston gets crushed.

  24. sprtsfan1 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:40 PM

So how many people will get stabbed at Candlestick tonight?

  25. raymondtx says: Oct 6, 2013 10:42 PM

Kubiak, please get him out of there. I actually feel sorry for him now. He had a good run. Made enough money. He just threw his 3rd pick of the game.

  26. jeffesky says: Oct 6, 2013 10:47 PM

Kubiak and the gm better turn this around and get this team going with yates. schaub is like a carson palmer and we all know thats NOT GOOD ENOUGH.sure it hurst to go backwards but for gods sake we cant live forever. Even if they went back to matt in a couple games its better than this freefall.

  27. adderal says: Oct 6, 2013 10:48 PM

    Just you come on out

  28. scmems07 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:49 PM

I know schaub is no good, knew that going in, but geeze kap it’s terrible! How jaws could ever come to the conclusion that he could one day be one of the best ever is a joke. Wilson, kap, Bradford and Palmer, by far the worst division in the nfl for qb’s.

  29. shayeezy says: Oct 6, 2013 10:50 PM

gregg rosenthal thinks matt schaub is playing better than alex smith this season.

  30. braceyourselffor12 says: Oct 6, 2013 10:53 PM

This is one of the greatest defensive performance I have ever seen!!!!

  31. MyTeamsAllStink says: Oct 7, 2013 1:04 AM

Jamarcus Russell is taking your calls Houston

  32. forever9ers says: Oct 7, 2013 3:01 AM

It was a close game until Schaub’s first pass attempt. The Niners were probably pissed off at Schaub for giving Seattle a freebie last week.

  33. greatestgamensports says: Oct 7, 2013 3:05 AM

Collin K. absolutely sucks, and so does Shaub period!

  34. joetoronto says: Oct 7, 2013 6:21 AM

The Texans have a brutal trifacta going on, between Matt Scahub, Gary Kubiak and that Greg Knapp offense, forgetaboutit.

    SMH.
