Ryan Mathews suffers concussion

Chargers running back Ryan Mathews suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game at Oakland, multiple media outlets reported.

According to the NFL Network telecast of the game, Matthews will not return.

Mathews left the game in the second quarter. He rushed three times for eight yards.

Danny Woodhead and Ronnie Brown are the only other Chargers tailbacks on the roster. Both are active.

    This guy can’t stay on the field. He is constantly hurt. He’s just to frail for the NFL. I’m glad this is the last year of his contract. Between being hurt all of the time and fumbling all the time, he’s turning out to be another AJ Smith bust. Time to move on Chargers.
