After a rough game for the Cowboys’ secondary on Sunday, a change has come on Tuesday.

Veteran safety Will Allen was released today, the team announced.

Allen opened the season as the starter at strong safety, but after Week Two he was leapfrogged on the depth chart by rookie J.J. Wilcox.

A 10-year veteran, Allen played for the Steelers the last three years and for the Buccaneers for six years before that.
