It’s power rankings time

Brees AP

I spend every Monday night on the long train ride home from New York (OK, Connecticut) hammering out the power rankings.

And then I spend every Tuesday morning forgetting to finish and post them.

I forgot longer than usual this week.  For that, I apologize.  (Apologies are a lot easier when they’re not sincere.)

Regardless, here they are.  If you object to any, some, or all of them, I apologize.

I still think Seattle is better than Indy, they played back to back far road games and should have won that game.

The Chiefs are the flavor the month and shouldn’t be higher then 15th. This will be proven correct as the long season winds down.

Bengals beat Patriots. Patriots ranked 7 spots ahead of Bengals. Makes total sense

Falcons being ranked lower than the Texans is an insult to Texans fans.

Florio, you crack me up. Your (dry/biting?) humor is the biggest reason I read your articles. Thank you.

As a Browns fan, I really wish I could drink enough kool-aid to rank my team that high. I really can’t, especially not back to Weeden. That said, it’s nice to see someone finally pulled the Falcons out of the elite bracket. Tons of power rankings keep clinging to the idea that the team is still elite when they’re very clearly not.

Don’t worry Bengals fans, we all know know matter what we do and who we beat, the Bengals will never get the love they deserve! Except from their fans!

The Bengals have fans? Who knew!

percipacious-(adj) a descriptor for those without the perspicacity to spell correctly. origin: some anarchist’s blog who doesn’t believe in the conventions of spelling.
