The Vikings are saying Ponder is their starter. Sounds like some bait for a trade. Also, they released their third string QB today, McLeod John Bethel-Thompson. That’s okay, his name was too long for the back of his jersey anyway.

In 5 years the Viking fans may look back at this and go Josh who? — or — they may go we got a QB that developed into the high range of Fran T or med hi of Tommy Krammer & healthy Daunte.

Since we did not have a QBOTF on the roster it is worth a shot, especially when you did not have to give up a player or draft for him.

Seattle kept hunting until they found their QB.
