Mason Crosby wins NFC special teams honors

The good Mason Crosby is back, and he’s got the hardware to prove it.

The Packers kicker was named NFC special teams player of the week, after hitting all five of his field goals and an extra point in last week’s win over the Lions.

Crosby is a perfect 9-of-9 on field goals this year, after an uncharacteristic dip in accuracy last season (a career-low 63.6 percent).

That forced him to compete for his job this offseason (and take a pay cut), but he’s delivering again.

Good for him. Shows that the compition made him better this offseason.

That moment, after an entire offseason of ridicule and jokes, when Bears, Lions, and Vikings fans realize that the Packers have the best kicker as well as the best defense and offense.

Bad thing about your kicking winning an award for the week usually means the rest of your team sucked.

He’ll shank one and the headcase will start struggling.

Hey there tokyo, we’ll concede on the offense and defense statements, or even that your GM has a better crazy stare than our GM, but touting your kicker as better than ours is fighting words.

I admit, I now don’t get the feeling he is going to shank one when he is kicking.

As a True Viking fan, I want him to go back to being bad but give him credit for working through his problems.

Congrats from a Vikings fan (that hopes you get the yips again)

As a Packer fan, I’d prefer we let this fly under the radar as Im afraid too much attention will send his kicks flying once again wide of the crossbar.

I know you’re just a troll, but the “America’s kicker” comment caught me by surprise and made me laugh. I’m going to think of that every time I hear or read something about him now. Thanks.

Guess when your offense can’t score touch downs your kicker becomes the team hero. Congratulations.

As long as they win, I don’t care which type of scores make up the total.
