PFT Live: Archie Manning, Rick Spielman

It has been the best of times and the worst of times for the Manning brothers this season.

Peyton is 5-0 with the Broncos and on pace to obliterate single-season records for a quarterback. Eli is 0-5 and on pace to throw 38 interceptions and get sacked 48 times behind the Giants’ dreadful offensive line.

Mike Florio will welcome the father of the two quarterbacks, Archie Manning, to PFT Live on Tuesday to talk about how his sons are dealing with their radically different starts to the 2013 season. We’ll also see if Archie has shared any advice with Eli from his own days behind ineffective blockers about how to best hold up when you’re being sacked every other play.

Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman will also be on the show. We’ll talk about the team’s 1-3 start, the decision to sign Josh Freeman and what the team is going to do at quarterback in Week Six and beyond.

You can watch it all live at noon ET by clicking right here.

Getting tired of the Mannings, and I am from the New Orleans area…

Still would rather hear from Archie than:

    Cris Carter
    Tony Dungy
    Phil Simms
    Tony Siragusa
    Warren Sapp
    Ladanian Tomlinson
    Damien Woody
    Merrill Hoge

It’s not like Archie is calling around asking hey can I be on your show.

When one son is 5-0 with 20 touchdown passes and one son is 0-5 with 12 or whatever interceptions, and his former team is 5-0, there is a lot of material to discuss with him.

Ask Speildope how it felt giving birth to 3-13.

Archie is not a hall of famer.

Eli had a great run but his arm is shot and his career is over.

It’s been great being a Giants fan in recent years but we’re in for some tough times ahead. At least I knew it was coming and told everyone in the preseason the Giants were finished.

There are few people I want to hear less from about football than Archie Manning. Definitely not going to bother watching this one.
