PFT Live: Spielman confident Freeman makes Vikes better

Josh Freeman joins the Minnesota Vikings and GM Rick Spielman gives a timetable for when we should expect to see the QB under center. With Freeman in the fold, have the Vikings all but given up on former first-round pick Christian Ponder?

Take the 3 mil, get thru this year…and look to get yourself out of town next year to greener pastures.

Adrian Peterson will be demanding a trade within a year…you heard (read) it here first.

I have watched every game Freeman has played in as a pro. If you are expecting him to be your savior, you are headed to hell.

All Freeman needs to do is be able to hand the ball off to Peterson. Peterson will make him look great.

I like the idea that freeman can throw the ball deep. That is sure to open up the running game for Petersen. The Vikings do have some receivers now who can run deep. If freeman can be more accurate on the midrange passes the Vikings should be a very potent offence. The defense is what is really killing the team rite now. They are losing the battle on third down and late in ball games. Freeman isn’t going to change that.
