Earlier on Tuesday, Florio reported on a list of players that the Raiders had in for workouts on Tuesday.

None of the players listed in that report earned a job with the team, but the Raiders announced that they have signed a player to their active roster. Defensive tackle Daniel Muir is the newest member of the club.

Muir signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2007 when Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie was in the Green Bay personnel department. He played three games with them before moving on to the Colts for the next four seasons. He played 40 games and made 26 starts in Indianapolis and played three games for the Jets last season. Muir spent training camp with the Texans, but was released as the team cut down to 53 players at the end of the summer.

Rookie Stacy McGee missed Week Five with a shoulder injury and Muir’s addition gives them some insurance in the event he remains out of the lineup.
