The Broncos are 5-0, which makes it hard to say that they’ve missing Champ Bailey, Von Miller or anyone else that hasn’t been on the field for them this season.

After watching them get shredded by Tony Romo last Sunday, you could say that the team would be even more formidable if those two defensive stalwarts were in the lineup. Miller has one more week to go on his suspension, but it looks like Bailey’s chances of playing this week are improving.

The cornerback practiced fully on Wednesday for the first time this season. Bailey has been battling a foot injury and coach John Fox said that Bailey’s return to a full workload went well.

“With Champ obviously we’ve been smart,” Fox said, via the team’s website. “Medical people have done a fantastic job. He had a very, very good workout today.”

The Broncos were missing a few other members of the defense on Wednesday. Cornerback Chris Harris didn’t practice because of the concussion he suffered against Dallas, defensive end Robert Ayers was held out with a shoulder injury and the neck injury that knocked linebacker Wesley Woodyard out of the Cowboys game kept him on the sideline.
